Asheville-area fitness calendar for the next few weeks.

BEGINNING RUNNERS PROGRAM: Asheville Track Club has a 12-week class for beginning runners starting today. Meet at Carrier Park (near the gazebo), Amboy Road, 6 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday and 8:30 a.m. Saturday. $25. New runners and those returning to running will train for the Bele Chere 5K.
